The trek culminates at Tamsoult, a charming summer village, home to the highest waterfall in the High Atlas. This is one of the most stunning natural landmarks in the region, providing a perfect spot to relax and appreciate the serene environment.
Departure from Marrakech to Imlil
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech. After a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours, you’ll arrive in Imlil, a picturesque village nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your experienced Berber guide, who will lead you through the day’s trek.
Begin the Trek from Imlil through Achain Village
Enjoy a refreshing cup of mint tea while your luggage is loaded onto mules. The hike kicks off in the village of Imlil, where you’ll head towards the Berber village of Achain. Along the way, pause to take in the incredible views of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, standing proudly in the distance.
Ascend to Tizi-n-Mzik (2,489 m) and Enjoy a Scenic Lunch
The trek continues as you ascend to Tizi-n-Mzik, situated at 2,489 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll take a well-deserved break, enjoying a delicious lunch with panoramic views of the Imlil and Azzaden valleys stretching out below you.
Visit the Summer Village of Tamsoult and Guar Igholidden Waterfalls
After lunch, your journey continues to the summer village of Tamsoult, or alternatively, the Guar Igholidden Waterfalls. Both locations offer a tranquil setting and the chance to experience the natural beauty of the High Atlas region.
Descend to Tizi-n-Oussm Village for Overnight Stay
Finally, you’ll descend to the village of Tizi-n-Oussm, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable gîte (guesthouse) that includes private rooms, basic furnishings, electricity, and access to shared toilets. This cozy accommodation provides a perfect resting spot after a day of trekking.

Next, embark on a scenic hike through the Azzaden Valley, often referred to as the "Valley of Many Colors" due to its vibrant landscapes. The valley offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, providing a perfect backdrop for your trek.
Ascend to Tizi-n-Ouadid Pass (2,119 m) and Enjoy a Scenic Lunch
Arriving at Ait Aissa, you'll ascend to the Tizi-n-Ouadid pass, standing at 2,119 meters. Once at the pass, you’ll stop to enjoy a delicious lunch under the shade of walnut trees, surrounded by nature’s beauty.
Walk to Aguarsioual and Return to Marrakech
After lunch, continue your trek for another hour until you reach the village of Aguarsioual. Here, your driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, where you'll arrive around 5 PM, reflecting on the amazing journey you’ve just completed.
